Conversely, BCS3-L1 metabolizes the food you eat into ethanol, which is minimally acidic, leading to a more balanced microbiome. BCS3-L1 outcompetes your native S. mutans by producing a local antibiotic called mutacin 1140 on your teeth, which disrupts the metabolism of unmodified S. mutans. It uses that disruption to proliferate and outcompete the native S. mutans, and works its magic on your teeth.

2. Fill the vial with warm water to reconstitute the product. Shake well. Swish the rehydrated product and brush onto your teeth for about three minutes.
3. Spit out all of the product and rinse your mouth with water.
